GBDF Adopt-A-Senior Program

(Formerly the GBDF Educational Incentive Award)

 

The Gregory B. Davis Foundation Adopt-A-Senior Program started in 2020 as a part of the virtual North Carolina Adopt A Senior Edition.  GBDF selects two graduating high school seniors mainly from the Northampton, Halifax, Warren, Bertie and Nash Counties to adopt providing items from their College Wish Lists and providing mentoring support during their college year.

 

Formerly, the GBDF Memorial Educational Incentive Award established in August 2000 which offered an incentive award to high school students who have a middle academic range GPA and who is seeking excellence.

GBDF Adopt-A-Student Recipients

 

2021 Student Adoptees

Kayla Smith will be attending Elizabeth City State University and Maliek Lynch will be attending Winston Salem State University this fall.

 

2020 Student Adoptees

MaKayla Nettles of Holly Springs, NC, is currently attending North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC majoring in Nursing. Joseph Peterson of Garysburg NC is also currently attending NC A&T State University.
