Mrs. Davis-Brown, who earned an MPH in the UNC School of Public Health, is passionate about engaging with the public on issues that affect health. That passion plus her expertise and openness to explore possibilities has taken her from rural communities in North Carolina to the west coast and back, and from working as a health educator in a county health department to evaluating national public health projects. She has worked across the landscape of public health issues—tobacco and drugs, violence prevention, HIV, health in a natural disaster, mental health, health disparities, stigma—and she has always had her eye on the community.
